We turn source-native public records into cautious, resident-readable updates while preserving the original evidence.
What enters the resident feed
Planning applications, permits, pending liquor licenses, food-facility records, mapped Public Works capital projects, and exact project-linked public meeting items. Unrelated City Council business stays out.
Why business filings are separate
City Business Operation Tax registrations remain collected as administrative leads and corroborating evidence, but standalone registrations do not appear in the main feed, weekly briefing, default search, categories, or neighborhood lists. Readers who want that paperwork can open the separate Business Filings page.
How we describe certainty
Applications and planned capital-project dates are signals, not promises. We keep importance separate from confidence and never claim that a place opened, a proposal passed, or construction started unless the evidence supports it.
How dates work
A source record date describes the field supplied by the agency. A planned date describes a schedule and may change. A Watch capture date describes when this system first retained the record. Business filings can contain a future business start date; we label it separately and do not treat it as a confirmed opening.
Corrections
Each correction is reviewed against the retained official evidence. Use the correction link in the main site to identify a record and explain what appears wrong.
